Terms of service
The fine print
The simple rules for ordering your plans, using them, and visiting our website.

About these terms
These terms apply when you visit hartandbrick.com or buy custom brick-building plans from Hart & Brick, a family-run studio in Bellbrook, Ohio. By placing an order or using the site, you agree to them. Orders are placed through Etsy, so Etsy’s terms and the details in your Etsy listing apply too.
What you’re buying
Your order is a digital product: custom building plans for one place, delivered on a private web page. Depending on the listing, that includes an instruction booklet (PDF), 3D step-by-step instructions, a parts list with order files, renderings and a video. No bricks or finished model are included, and nothing is shipped.
Your photos
Please only send photos you took or have permission to share. By sending them, you let us use them to design your model and make your plans. We won’t publish your photos, or show your model in our marketing, without your permission (see our Privacy Policy).
Your custom design
Each model is designed by hand and is an artistic interpretation of your place in standard bricks. Some details are simplified so the model is sturdy and buildable, sides we can’t see in your photos are filled in sensibly, and colors are matched as closely as the available pieces allow. We’ll work with you on reasonable changes as described in your Etsy listing.
Using your plans
Your plans are for personal use. You’re welcome to build your model as many times as you like, print the booklet, give the model or plans as a gift, and share photos of your build (we’d love a tag). Please don’t resell or publicly share the plan files, or sell kits or models made from them, without our written permission.
The plans, booklets, renderings, instructions and website are created by Hart & Brick and remain our copyright.
Bricks from other shops
Your parts list and order files help you buy pieces from online brick shops. Those shops are independent of us, so their prices, stock, shipping and service are between you and them. We check that every piece can be ordered when your plans are delivered, but availability can change.
Building safely
Brick models contain small parts that can be a choking hazard. Keep loose pieces away from children under 3, and supervise young builders.
Problems and refunds
Because every plan is custom-made and delivered digitally, refunds and cancellations follow the terms in your Etsy listing and Etsy’s policies. If something isn’t right with your plans, message us and we’ll do our best to make it right.
Your private page
We aim to keep your model page online so you can return to it, but we recommend downloading your booklet and files and keeping a copy. Please keep your link and any password to yourself and the people you choose to share them with.
Not affiliated
Hart & Brick is an independent studio. Our plans are designed for standard interlocking toy bricks, and we aren’t affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any toy brick brand or online brick shop. Their names and trademarks belong to their owners.
The legal part
We work hard to get everything right, but the website and plans are provided “as is,” without warranties beyond those the law requires. To the fullest extent the law allows, Hart & Brick isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total responsibility for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.
