Your home, kept private
You trust us with photos of a place that matters to you. Here’s what we collect, why, and how we look after it, in plain language.

Who we are
Hart & Brick is a small, family-run studio in Bellbrook, Ohio, that designs custom brick-building plans. This policy covers hartandbrick.com, the private model pages we make for customers, and the orders you place with us through our Etsy shop.
What we collect
- Order details from Etsy: your name, Etsy username, what you ordered and, if you give it, a shipping address or email. Etsy handles payment, so we never see your card details.
- What you send us: photos of your home or place, its address or location, the details you’d like included, and your messages.
- Reference images: to fill in sides of a building we can’t see in your photos, we may look at publicly available images of it, such as real-estate listing photos or street-level imagery.
- Website visits: our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver and protect the site. We don’t use advertising trackers, and the site itself doesn’t set cookies.
How we use it
- To design your model, build your plans and private page, and deliver them to you.
- To answer your questions and help with your order.
- To keep the records a business needs, such as sales and tax records.
We never sell your information or share it with advertisers.
Your home in our marketing
We only show a model of a private home in our marketing (on this website, Etsy or Instagram) with the owner’s permission, and we never name a private home by its address. If you’ve given permission and change your mind, tell us and we’ll stop using it in new posts and remove it where we can.
Your private model page
Your plans live on your own web page at hartandbrick.com. It isn’t listed on our site or in search engines, and we can add a password if you’d like. Anyone you share the link (and password) with can see it, so share it with care. Ask us anytime to add a password or take the page down.
If your page has a password, entering it sets one small cookie in your browser so you don’t have to type it again.
Who else sees it
Only the services we rely on to run the studio, and only as needed: Etsy (orders, payments and messages), Cloudflare (website hosting and file storage) and Google (the sign-in for our private team tools). Each handles information under its own privacy policy. We may also share information if the law requires it.
When you order bricks from an online brick shop using the files in your plans, you’re dealing with that shop directly, under its own policies.
How long we keep it
We keep your photos and plans so we can help with questions and changes later, and your model page stays online so you can come back to it. Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. You can ask us to delete your photos and take down your page at any time.
Your choices
Wherever you live, you can ask us what information we have about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Just send us a message and we’ll take care of it, usually within a few days. Information that’s part of your Etsy order is also held by Etsy, under Etsy’s privacy policy.
Keeping it safe
We store your files with established providers, limit access to our small team, and protect our tools with secure sign-in. No system is perfectly secure, but we take care with what you share.
Children
Our shop and website are meant for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date below. Questions or requests? Message us on Etsy or Instagram. See also our Terms of Service.
