Our story
A home is more than an address
It’s where the growth marks are penciled on the door frame, where the porch light stayed on, where everyone gathered. We started Hart & Brick to help people hold on to those places, one brick at a time.
Where it began
It started at home
Hart & Brick began at our own kitchen table in Bellbrook, Ohio, with a simple question: what would our house look like in bricks? There was no kit for it, of course. Sets are made of someone else’s house. So we designed our own, from the hipped roofs and arched windows down to the trees out back.
When the last piece clicked into place, it didn’t feel like a toy. It felt like home. Friends asked for theirs, then their parents’ house, then a favorite landmark. Hart & Brick grew from there.

The craft
Designed by hand, from scratch
Every Hart & Brick model starts with a blank lot. We study your photos the way an architect would: the pitch of the roof, the rhythm of the windows, the color of the brick and how the house sits on its land. Walls are laid in a running bond, just like real masonry.
We use only standard pieces in current colors, and we check that every one can be ordered, so the model you see is the model you can build.
Then we write the instructions the way we’d want to read them: one clear step per page, new pieces highlighted, and a little extra help where a step is tricky.

The name
Why Hart & Brick?
Hart is our family name, and it sounds just like the thing every home is built around. Brick is what we build with, and what so many homes are made of.
Put them together and you have our whole idea: the heart of a home, built brick by brick.
